just random...and in no particular order

so this is just my lazy way of dumpin' a bunch of photos in a post and callin' it a day!
Fiona the Ford on her sick bed. brought her home fall of 2002 and still goin' strong. i think. don't know what i'd do without her. she's back on the road however, so that's good. i missed her:)
the sisters about 5 months ago? short sleeves, so yeah.
havin' a family movie night...or so i thought. with the faint glow of social media there i'm not so sure.
the Lil' Lady and dad shelling kisses for a holiday recipe. can you technically shell a Hershey kiss? well we did.
found this on my ipad...the treadmill tryin' to get in on the selfie. it's pretty lonely, if ya know what i mean.
okay, so here's a better family movie night. i believe we were watching the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, the Jim Carrey version. The Lil' Lady couldn't see the humor and was a bit scared of him so she left to go watch something different.
our oldest trying to show off his muscles every chance he gets. the First Lady was makin' her homemade sugar scrubs.
found these two snuggling on the couch.
aaaand they're both out.
the brothers bathing simultaneously
more selfies, including a favorite on Christmas day with almost the whole fam.
i had posted this on Facebook a while back, but i wanted this moment documented for good so here it is.
some of the First Lady's Christmas gift cards had somehow fallen behind the washer and dryer.
her big brother as irritated as he was to hear her complain took out his gum and placed it on the end of his hockey stick.
she was skeptical but it worked and he was the hero.
as much as these two argue I just had to document it.
Becca May's foot which strangely looks like a koala bear
Pippin in my teacher bag
we'll end with a short concert

Sunday Snapshot~ the doctor is in

Ni Hao Yall
from the time we brought the Lil' Lady home she's been fascinated with doctors, doctors and their tools.
she's been known to reach for what's in the doctors hand and try to use it on them or herself. At home she has her own doctors kit but she hardly touches it.
she knows.
she knows that Fisher Price doesn't quite cut it. she wants the real stuff. which is probably why I found the doctors reflex hammer in her bag when I got home. yep, she just stuffed it in there along with her Max and Ruby books and snack cup. a part of me wishes I lived closer so I could return it and a part of me wishes I could just somehow see it go down on the security camera, if there was one in the room.
anyhow, we were at the U of M to see a Neurologist. it's been suggested many times by her peds that we have some tests run to see if her low muscle tone/hypotonia is anything more than what it is, if that makes any sense. so we had the tests and we're just waiting on the final results. while we were there however, the doctors observed how interested she was in there "stuff" and a few even allowed her to play with some of their tools. what they should have done I guess was place them under lock and key! anyhow, one of the nurses brought her a bag of special things that she could keep like what she's wearing in the picture. when they stepped out of the room I took this video.....
 so funny!!

Favorite Photo Friday~ baseball

the long road
baseball.......sigh
oh how I miss it
only a few more weeks to go though and we'll be there
at least for practices. the boys have been practicing almost every day these last few months at the St. Paul Saints Academy and are more ready then they've ever been.
they've got their new gloves, their new bats...
some new skills...
we're just plain ready....can ya tell?
goin' on year 9 with these guys and each season just keeps getting better and better
look out though, cause there's another one comin' up from behind.
I can barely contain myself!

One morning.....

Pop Pop decided he'd tackle our front door that was in dire need of a new color

It was long before help arrived, even bringing in her own chair

With a few more onlookers it began to get a little crowded
So I gave the assistant her own brush so she could hone her door painting skills

It wasn't long before she was on to my intentions to distract her and decided it was her new job to bring Pop Pop paper towels instead

A few more onloookers as they rolled out of bed....
and it soon became near impossible for poor Pop Pop to get the job done.
So while some went to eat breakfast, others were banished to the deck
which needed a nice new wet wash
Thanks for the new door Pop Pop!

Becoming a family of 6

These are never before posted pics of the day Lil' Lady was given to us. For more on our first day with her see here
Shortly after this photo we rode the elevator down to the lobby where a taxi was waiting to take us back to our hotel
I was told to get in the backseat and they literally handed her to me and we sped off. I took a moment to look out the back window as we pulled away to see our social worker leading our sobbing foster mother back into the building
She eventually cried herself to sleep- it was a strange feeling to hold a baby in a moving car
Our first attempt at dinner left us all frustrated
She finally took solace on dad's shoulder
Our first attempt at utilzing the carrier
And then when dad and big brother headed out to bring back dinner I saw a glimpse
of a personality
She loved the hallway mirror and the bathroom scale

and in the end her favorite was the walk in shower and the sounds of the toilet & bidet

Happy one year anniversary home baby- time has just flown
