Our second, bless his heart, had not yet spent any of his birthday money. Never mind that his birthday was in late August. I suppose with the move, that tightly tucked away envelope had been forgotten. I knew about it, and often wondered when he would remember he had it. You see this guy is more of a saver than a spender. Where others in the family would let it burn a smoking hole in their pocket; he is content to wait until something strikes his fancy.
Is it wrong for a mom to allow her kid to spend a whole twenty bucks of his birthday money on 2lbs of all things gummy?
Doesn't matter, because the pure joy he had from choosing what he wanted was like that credit card commercial....priceless!
