6:42am and mint chocolate chip.....

must be the last day of school

and that means ice cream for breakfast just looking at these old posts i just can't believe how they've grown.

check her eyeballin' that cone!

usually she doesn't want to get up in the mornings but when i hollered let's go have ice cream she practically fell outta that bed! her last day of school was yesterday.

this one has a field trip to the water park....must be nice. he was feelin' a bit melancholy last night about missing his girlfriendfriends. this was a big year for him. i'm sure we'll see her over the summer. i mean really, she's only a text away.

this one's sad. best of luck to that third grade teacher next year who has to fill Mrs. Ficcadenti's shoes!

and this one is just so gosh darn happy to be done with it all.

this one will be ridin' the bus too, and not to daycare either....to school. Her needs qualified her to be in the wee tigers classroom at her sisters elementary school to give her a bit of a head start. i wasn't quite ready for her to head off to school this soon!

3rd grade, 7th grade and 8th grade next year? whoa, not sure if this mama can handle it

Sunday Snapshot~ The grip

so about last August we discovered that the pumpkins we plopped over the back fence after Thanksgiving were growing. i was ecstatic. anyone who knows me well, knows i've had a serious pumpkin fixation since i was about 5. maybe even earlier. choosing a pumpkin is always a big deal , i love the sizes, shapes and colors and textures and often spend way too much every year making sure i have a bit of each on our deck and front porch. i used to tell the kids when they were little that you had to get down on the ground and put your cheek on the pumpkin and if you could feel it vibrate than that was to be the one you took home. can ya believe we had a few last fall still doing it? i won't say who:)

even better are the vines. i am so amazed at how these buggers latch on to anything and everything around them to anchor down and grow. i was so excited to watch these unexpected pumpkins develop and took lots of pictures over those few months. in keeping with my super late post tradition lately i decided to put'em up!
they make me think of my never ending struggle of making time for God and keeping a steady grip on His word.some days i'm so busy going in every direction i forget who comes first.
but once i get my grip again on my priorities, it never fails to amaze me how much better my day goes seriously, look at that grip! i mean, if these guys can be that strong i can too!
after all, it can only lead to something wonderful....... right?
God is good:)
